You will help collect and prepare enrichment food for the rescued animals, maintain their enclosures and learn about why these animals ended up at Tasikoki Rescue Centre. You will meet the sugar palm growers, visit the sustainable sugar factory and discover how the sugar palm tree could help save the Indonesian rainforests.
This trip will also include a walk around the rim of a volcanic crater and an excursion, by boat, to snorkel amongst the biodiverse Indonesian corals. This is the only service trip that focuses on environmental sustainability and offers a unique once in a lifetime experience! Students will be working daily supporting Tasikoki collecting food and feeding the rescued/endangered animals at the centre, maintaining the animal enclosures, learning about techniques to save the rainforest and about the sugar palm and how its products can be used in many ways to help the environment. |
